With over 15 years experience as a professional Lighting Designer, Ian Saunders has worked at all scales of theatre in the UK from fringe venues to the West End, and even in shops, nightclubs and tents! West15 believe that good lighting design is a collaborative process with other members of the creative team. It should not only illuminate the stage but should also aim to establish location, time frame and atmosphere for each production in order to enhance the stage picture and direct the audience's eye. Whether the show is a comedy or tragedy, a two act drama or five act Shakespeare, an opera or an all singing, all dancing musical, light has its part to play in setting the scene.
